COURSE DESCRIPTION:

A twelve-hour course to familiarize the manual therapy practitioner with the identification and implications of the middle cross dysfunctional motor pattern in the treatment of musculoskeletal complaints. Treatment concepts of ARP Neuro Therapy, Instrument Assisted Myofascial Release and Kinesiology Taping protocols will be covered. The seminar will conclude with tracking patient reported outcomes to assess the effectiveness of these interventions.

  • Mechanoreceptors and Mechanotransduction

  • Motor Control Theories

  • Manual Therapy Procedures: Treatment Concepts in Middle Cross

  • ARP Neuro: Techniques and rationale for therapeutic treatment of dysfunctional patterns

  • Kinesiology Taping: Techniques and rationale for therapeutic treatment of dysfunctional patterns

  • Putting it all together: Combining techniques and rationale for therapeutic order in the treatment of dysfunctional patterns

  • Tracking patient-reported outcomes in the treatment of dysfunctional patterns

  • Our 6-hour in-service is perfect as an introduction to training staff on the use of kinesiology taping and soft tissue methods. 

  • Our 4-hour in-service is a great introduction to assessment and treatment of upper and lower cross dysfunctional movement patterns.

  • Our 1-hour introduction to kinesiology taping and soft tissue methods is geared toward the public and works well with introducing these concepts to sports clubs, running clubs and health club in-services.
